What do I need to bring for the tour?
Comfortable walking shoes and clothes (no denim or street shoes/sandals), sunhat, camera, lightweight towel/sarong and bathers (if swimming), any personal medications and your National Parks Pass (available for purchase at the Freycinet Lodge, National Park Visitors Centre or online).
What will be provided for the tour?
Day packs, rain jackets, water bottle, thermos, lunch, morning tea, first aid, sunscreen, water. This will all be offered during the briefing at the Freycinet Lodge prior to departure. Your day pack for the walk should weigh no more than 5kg.
I’m not a guest at the Freycinet Lodge. Can I still join the tour?
Of course! Please park in the guest parking available and make your way inside to meet your guide and group downstairs in the Hazards Lounge. The Freycinet Lodge is a 30-40 minute walk from the Coles Bay along beautiful Richardson’s Beach.
Can you cater to dietaries?
We are happy to cater to dietaries where possible. Please advise our team when you place your booking.
How fit do I need to be?
Guests will need to have a moderate level of fitness and be comfortable walking approximately 12 kilometres with a lightweight day pack along beaches, rocky headlands and stairs.
What happens if it is raining or the weather is poor?
This is an all weather tour. In saying that, your safety is our main priority and in the event of extreme weather warnings, we will be forced to cancel the tour and provide a full refund.
How many guests will be on my tour?
Our tours operate with a minimum of 4 guests and maximum of 8. We believe small group touring is the best way to truly experience a destination!
I’m only booking for 2 guests. Will my tour still run?
Please be aware that we do require a minimum of 4 guests to guarantee each departure. If you are the first booked on a particular date and your party is less than 4, you will be notified via email that your booking is tentative until we reach minimum numbers. You will be emailed as soon as your booking is guaranteed. Alternatively, we will get in touch closer to the date to provide alternative options.
